Fauna Club Camp 2009
Fauna Club Camp 2009There were 36 students of Fauna Club, a club for high school students guided by P-WEC (Petungsewu Wildlife Education Center) to learn nature and wildlife conservation as well as to practice out activities dealing with the issues in their schools, from 12 high schools in East Java attending Fauna Club Camp. The camp had been held in P-WEC from 4 to 6 December 2009. The event which was supported by the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) was intended to reinforce students’ knowledge of wildlife conservation and animal welfare. Participants of the camp also held some competitions for themselves like bird watching, information board creation, and nature photography contests.
All students enjoyed following each activity during the camp. It gave them opportunity to share experiences about the activities of each Fauna Club in their own schools. The advisory teachers of each Fauna Club also attended the camp and communicated their experiences in advising the club.
