Students of SMA 5 Malang as Nature Detectives

Students of SMA (State Senior High School) 5 Malang, East Java, had fun playing the nature detective game in Petungsewu Wildlife Education Center (P-WEC) on 28 to 29 November 2009. 37 students examined the mini beasts in P-WEC’s area. Holding a magnifying glass and a field guide book, each student watched the wildlife carefully like a pro.

The students were enthusiastic. Learning while playing games and adventure gave new and different environment than their usual method used at their schools. Aside from learning about wildlife, the students also learned about togetherness and teamwork as P-WEC’s team gave some capacity building games during the event.
